Livonia Commons Wins Building Brooklyn Affordable Housing Award 2017

Livonia Commons, an affordable housing scheme in Brooklyn, wins the 2017 Building Brooklyn Award for affordable housing. The Building Brooklyn Awards recognize recently completed construction and renovation projects that enrich Brooklyn’s neighborhoods and economy.

Completed in 2016, it is comprised of 278 affordable housing units spanning four buildings and 277,000 square feet. The building serves families at a range of incomes. More than half of the units are dedicated for households earning less than 40% and 50% of area median income. Integrated into the project are 51 units of supportive housing with additional on-site support services.
