Interior Architectural Designer
SLCE Architects, LLP is one of New York’s most prolific and enduring architectural firms that specializes in high-end residential, commercial, mixed-use, affordable housing, assisted and senior living facilities, public and institutional developments. We are seeking a full-time interior architectural designer with exceptional skills willing to work in a fast phased environment and in-office setting.
Qualifications for Interior Architectural Designer:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
- 3+ years professional experience with a focus on Residential and Commercial Interiors
- Proficient with design software such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign, & 3D Studio Max, modeling with Rhino and/or SketchUp
- Strong visualization skill with V-ray or Enscape
- NCDIQ, LEED AP preferred but not necessary
- Knowledge in Revit and Bluebeam
- Advance digital modeling and rendering skills
- Ability to keep up to date with the latest design trends
- Thorough attention to detail, strong organizational, creative and presentation skills
- The ability to accept and give constructive criticism
- In-depth knowledge of furniture systems and finishes
- The ability to work under pressure and within time constraints to meet deadlines
- Demonstrable understanding of the basic principles of spatial planning
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to find a new way of doing things
Responsibilities For Interior Architectural Designer include but not limited to:
- Preparing client presentations under the supervision of a senior designer
- Identify, select, and
specify Architectural products and vendors. Have a working
knowledge of Architectural Materials and Vendors - Produce technical and
construction documentation (plans, elevations, sections,
architectural/millwork details) that illustrate the design intent and use of
materials for a range of residential and commercial projects to support design concepts - Develop Interior
Design packages and concept/mood strategies; and
successfully implement them from concept phase through project execution - Creating visuals for client meetings in Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator
- Communicating and corresponding with vendors
- Maintaining detailed budget spreadsheets
- Produce and review project proposal specs and submittals through Construction Administration Phase
- Help coordinate details of Architectural/Interior Design projects
- Coordinate with
architects and outside consultants throughout all project
phases.
