The newly opened One Flushing is the largest affordable housing development in downtown Flushing, Queens. A collaboration between designer Bernheimer Architecture and SLCE, it is the first project to incorporate New York’s Mandatory Inclusionary Housing Program (MIH).

Apartments range in size from studios to three-bedrooms. 117 units will be permanently affordable and 66 units are set aside for very low-income senior residents. At ground level there is 22,000 square feet of retail space; underground there is a parking garage with 156 public spaces. In addition, the development boasts 15,000 square feet of community facility space, landscaped roof terraces and a rooftop farm, a children’s playroom, and gym.
