At 47 stories and 390,000 square feet, The Atlas comprises 374 rental units atop ground-floor retail, four stories of commercial office space, and below-grade accessory parking.

The Atlas takes its design cues from the Art Deco commercial office building neighborhood in which it presently resides. Its limestone base is topped with the building’s cascading form, while the tower’s vertical piers reach to the sky with rooftop finial flourishes. It’s only since the 1990s that developers have braved this part of lower Midtown with major residential buildings, providing more of a 24/7 environment. Since that time, SLCE has designed dozens of residential towers in this relatively new mixed-use neighborhood that was historically associated with the fashion industry.
