The Marbella and M2

Located along the main waterfront thoroughfare of Washington Boulevard in Jersey City, this full-block site was originally envisioned as a phased development comprising two 40-story residential towers linked by a shared parking structure, with a landscaped deck benefiting all residents. The superstructure for the second building, including pilings, was built into the first phase in anticipation of a full build-out. As it turned out—for various market reasons—while the first phase was completed in 2004, the second phase was not completed until 2016. Each tower was designed to complement the other, but the second tower, branded M2, presents a more contemporary lifestyle both in the building’s exterior design and its interior finishes. The buildings’ many amenities include an outdoor landscaped pool and a full complement of indoor fitness and club rooms.
