142,000 sq. ft., 20 stories, 84 units

57 Reade Street is located in a transitional part of Lower Manhattan, on the edge of the Tribeca historic district, across from the Department of Buildings and generally surrounded by primarily office structures dating from the 1950s and later. The building’s complex massing is the result of its interface with two divergent zoning districts, yet it still manages to reach a height of 20 stories fronting Broadway. Weighing in at 142,000 square feet, 57 Reade Street comprises 84 condominium apartments, two levels of above-grade retail space, two retail basements, and a complement of amenities appropriate for its relatively small size. In keeping with the  pioneering aspect of a for-sale development in this edgy part of Manhattan, the building’s exterior reflects its neighborhood, providing abundant light and views for its inhabitants with a primarily glass window wall.
