Located in Midtown Manhattan, Sunrise at East 56th Street is a newly constructed assisted-living facility. At 17 stories and 130,000 square feet, the building is comprised of 151 units, in addition to 6,900 square feet of retail space at the ground level. The building’s community spaces are located on the second floor, which feature floor-to-ceiling windows to allow for a sense of transparency within the neighborhood. The residential floors three through 16 are arranged by need. Memory care and assisted living occupy their own respective floors and feature their own specific accompanying spaces. Additional amenity space is scattered throughout these residential floors, creating micro-neighborhoods within the building. Landscaped terraces add to this sense of community for the residents.

The building is organized vertically, unlike most senior living communities. Inspired by classic Park Avenue apartment houses, its design and layout reflect New York City apartment living. This residence will set a new standard for senior housing and memory care, while proving to be an asset to the surrounding neighborhood.
