Mr. Albano joined SLCE Architects in 1994. He has managed a wide variety of projects for major Health Care Facilities, Residential Developers and Institutional clients, with extensive experience in planning and development of large scale residential projects throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, New Jersey and White Plains. Paul has proven success in leading project teams through the design and construction process.

Charles Knapp, AIA, LEED AP

Professional Registration: New Jersey, NCARB CERTIFIED, LEED ACCREDITED PROFESSIONAL

Mr. Knapp joined SLCE Architects in 1996 and has 20 years of project management experience on a wide variety of large project types with a special focus on multi-family residential, mixed-use, and healthcare. He is responsible for all aspects of the project and is the primary client contact during all phases. His experience with construction types is diverse and he brings a wealth of knowledge to new projects.

Thomas J. Furman, AIA, LEED AP

Since Joining SLCE, Tom has managed a diverse range of Architectural projects, including Hospitality, Entertainment, Residential, and Adaptive Reuse. His expanding knowledge of multiple building types has helped SLCE earn the trust and respect of Clients and Colleagues alike. Project awards include 2007 National AIA and 2006 N.Y. AIA Honor award, 2005 NY Municipal Art Society Masterworks Award.

Nilo de Leon, AIA

Nilo de Leon joined SLCE Architects in 1982 has been involved in the management of various projects mainly in the medium- and high-end residential practice of the firm. He was the Project Architect in successful projects like the Residential Care Center for Adults (RCCA) on West 48th Street, The Siena, Le Rivage, The Metropolis, The Biltmore and 1600 Broadway on the Square to name a few.

Carlos Palacios

Carlos Palacios joined SLCE Architects in 1999. Mr. Palacios has over 20 years of experience in planning and construction. He excels in managing design and building projects. Mr. Palacios’s emphasis on advance planning and the skills in coordinating all construction trades provides assurance that a project will be completed in accordance with the client’s schedule and needs

Susan G. Nutt, RA, LEED AP

Professional Registration: New York

Susan Nutt is a native New Yorker who joined SLCE Architects in 1998. She has worked on many high end residential condominium and rental projects with responsibilities including design development and coordination, filing and construction documents, and construction administration. Projects include 777 Sixth Avenue, Ivy Tower, Oceana, The Milan, ThreeTen East 53rd Street, 40 Mercer, 255 East 74th Street, and Queens West.

Steven Bonora, RA, LEED AP

Senior Associate

Professional Registration: New York

Mr. Bonora has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, including more than 18 years of professional experience in the design and construction of numerous mid-rise and high-rise buildings.

The types of projects he has guided include primarily high profile luxury condominiums, rental towers, dormitories, college staff housing, mixed-use buildings, as well as community facility, parking, retail, school, and office space core and shell fit-outs. Projects include both new construction and renovations/conversions, from concept to completion.

Understanding the dedication and challenges it takes to put together a successful project has earned him a stellar reputation in the industry. He was a partner at his previous firm, Costas Kondylis & Partners, LLP.
Being diligently involved in every phase and every aspect of the projects he works on, he retains a unique quality that allows him to detect and resolve items of concern long before they would ever occur in the field. Whether it’s discovering the value of a site during initial investigations, providing a layout which maximizes the efficiency of space, or resolving a specific detail at the construction site, he encompasses his vast and unique experience to each situation. Mr. Bonora brings these and other beneficial qualities to a project.

Andrew Heidig, RA, LEED AP

Since joining SLCE Architects and with an aggregate of over 20 years of professional experience in the New York tri-state area Mr. Heidig has developed a large portfolio of multiple project and management experiences, which include civic buildings, corporate spaces, educational facilities, airport terminals, multi-family residential luxury developments, hotels and building rehabilitation projects. Mr. Heidig has also held an Adjunct Professorship position for the past 12 years at a New York based college and is recognized for his technical leadership.

Mr. Alvarez is a licensed Architect with over 20 years of experience and a proven leader. Recent Projects include: 50 Story Luxury Rental on 43-25 Hunter Street, 115 Hi-end Condominium Soho Tower, LEED Silver affordable housing and Children’s Museum in Harlem’s Sugar Hill, Adaptive reuse at 350 Broadway, Mixed used Queens West 1, 50 N5th Street and 14th Street at Avenue A.

Antonino Miguel

Ms. Leung began her career in 1996 and joined SLCE Architects in 2000. She has worked on a wide range of large-scale projects, such as residential high-rise, commercial, mix used, and health-care facilities. Her wealth of experience in zoning, and development of many large-scale projects throughout New York City, has proven success in leading and executing projects through the design and construction process.

Raffael Juth, RA

Adam Augenblick, RA

Dilara Hossain, RA

Ms. Hossain started her career in 2003 and joined SLCE in 2008. Since joining in SLCE she had successfully carried out projects from schematic design phase to construction administration phase. Her dedication toward work is tremendous. She has experience in various type of projects: mixed use high rise to mid-rise, high end condominium to market rate rental. She has great knowledge of zoning, building code and construction which makes her a very valuable asset to SLCE. Some of her recent projects include: 550 Madison Ave, Oceana building P- Brighten Beach, The Leonard-350 Broadway and Laureate- 2148 Broadway.

Harry Louis Peltz, RA

Mr Peltz joined SLCE Architects in 2010. With over 15 years of experience, he has worked on a wide range of large scale projects, including residential high-rise, commercial and adaptive re-use. He has a wealth of technical knowledge at his disposal to realize an innovative and cost effective solution to any challenge. Working closely and diligently with the client, he will deliver a superior product through all phases of design and construction.

Jason Brownrigg, RA

Mr. Brownrigg joined SLCE Architects in 2008. With over 20 years of experience he has worked on a wide variety of project types including mid-rise & high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, food service, and assisted living facilities. Jason oversees all phases of the project from schematic design through construction administration. His attention to detail and technical knowledge allows him to provide the client the service and expertise they have come to expect from SLCE.

Dean Hyoungsuk Lee, LEED AP

Mr. Lee began his career in 2001 and joined SLCE Architects in 2006.
As senior planner and designer of SLCE and Specialized in Residential projects from High rise Condominiums to various types of Rental projects with major developers in NY, NJ area.
Responsibilities from Feasibility studies including Zoning, Massing, planning for New development to Design facade, especially Entire Unit layouts.
Strong at NYC Zoning, NYC Building code.
Recent project include Provost SQ, Maxwell C, 388 Bridge street, The Balton, Douglass, Marbella 2, Court SQ, Soho Tower, 55 Bank Street White Plains New York.

Steven V. Handy, AIA

As part of a generation of people moving back to urban centers, Steve is a strong advocate that our buildings and cities must respond to changing demographic, environmental and socioeconomic trends to ensure that they can endure well into the future. Shortly after joining SLCE Architects in 2012, Steven was quickly promoted to Senior Designer demonstrating his talents and leadership with key contributions on projects such as Riverside Center Building 2, The Halcyon and 100 Willoughby Street. Since then, he has worked to foster creative solutions across the residential, office and mixed use markets by combining client aspirations with his own unique understanding of urban environments. Eschewing any preconceived notions of style, Steve believes in a hands on approach to balancing abstract theories of conceptual and urban design with more realistic concerns such as zoning, floor plans, budget and construction methods.
